Poco X6 and X6 Pro: The new midrange phone with Impressive Specs

Poco, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, has launched its latest smartphones in the Poco X-series: the Poco X6 and the Poco X6 Pro. These devices offer some of the best features and performance in their price range, making them worthy contenders for the title of flagship killers.

The Poco X6 is a reworked version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro, with a few changes. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which is a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 695 that was used in the Poco X5. The Poco X6 also has a 64MP main camera with 2x lossless in-sensor zoom and OIS, along with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens. It has a 5,100 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

The Poco X6 Pro is a rebranded version of the Redmi K70E, with a few differences. It has the same display, selfie camera, and battery as the Poco X6, but it uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset, which is one of the most powerful processors on the market. The phone also has a different main camera, a 200MP sensor with OIS, but no in-sensor zoom. It has a slightly slower 67W charging speed, compared to the 90W on the Redmi K70E.

One of the most notable features of the Poco X6 and X6 Pro is the software support. The Poco X6 Pro runs on Xiaomi HyperOS, which is based on Android 14, while the Poco X6 runs on MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. However, Poco has promised to update the Poco X6 to HyperOS soon. Moreover, Poco has guaranteed three Android updates and four years of security patches for both devices, which is rare for mid-range smartphones.

The Poco X6 and X6 Pro come in different color options: black, white, and blue for the Poco X6, and black, grey, and yellow for the Poco X6 Pro. The pricing for the Poco X6 in India starts at INR 21,999 for the 8/256GB model and goes up to INR 24,999 for the 12/512GB model. And for the Poco X6 Pro in India starts at INR 26,999 for the 8/256GB model and goes up to INR 28,999 for the 12/512GB model. The pricing for international markets starts at $249 and goes up to $319 for the Poco X6, and $299 and goes up to $369 for the Poco X6 Pro.

The Poco X6 and X6 Pro are expected to go on sale soon in India and other regions. They will compete with other mid-range smartphones such as the OnePlus Nord 3, the Samsung Galaxy A72, and the Realme GT Neo. With their impressive specs, software support, and competitive pricing, the Poco X6 and X6 Pro are likely to attract a lot of attention from smartphone enthusiasts who are looking for great value for money.
