Samsung is set to introduce the Galaxy Ring, a ring-shaped health tracker, exclusively for Galaxy and Android users later this year. Just like Galaxy smartwatches, the Galaxy Ring may not be compatible with Apple iPhones, according to Samsung executive Hon Pak.
In a recent announcement, Pak revealed Samsung’s plans to explore noninvasive glucose monitoring and continuous blood pressure checking technologies for future wearables. The emphasis on exclusivity suggests a strategic decision to keep the new wearable within the Galaxy and Android ecosystem.
As the demand for diverse health-tracking options grows, Samsung is responding to the development of the Ring. Scheduled for release by the end of 2024, this unique wearable will offer various colors and sizes.
Going beyond basic timekeeping, the Ring prioritizes activity and sleep tracking. Samsung aims to enhance its functionality with additional health features through subsequent updates.
